Supply Chain Planning Specialist - 6 months Fixed Term

Job Description

We are seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist on a six-month contract who can hit the ground running and join our team based in East Tamaki. You'll work closely to support our 2 Planning Specialists in reporting, forecasting, planning, and inventory management supporting a reliable supply of our coffee and tea portfolio.

In this role, you will be responsible for: 

  • Applying best‑practice demand forecasting using SAP APO, data insights, and close collaboration with key stakeholders to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Ensuring demand plans are aligned with production capacity and inventory targets, while supporting planning activities across product launches, phase‑outs, and product deletions.
  • Managing supply planning across local and international suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels and deliver against key supply chain KPIs.
  • Monitoring inventory levels, turnover, and safety stock, and implementing effective replenishment and product distribution strategies.
  • Identifying potential supply chain risks, developing contingency plans, and driving stakeholder actions to clear exposure stock and minimise write‑off risk.
  • Supporting new product development through cross‑functional collaboration to enable on‑time launches and maintain a stable forward supply pipeline.
  • Coordinating order processing and fulfilment with logistics and customer service teams, including the purchasing of third‑party products, to consistently meet DIFOT and downstream delivery expectations.
  • Analysing supply chain and inventory data, preparing regular performance reports, and taking ownership of slow‑moving or obsolete inventory through actionable waste‑reduction plans

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in supply chain planning roles, ideally within the FMCG sector.
  • Experience working with SAP ERP systems is highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to problem‑solve creatively and simplify complex scenarios.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven experience managing multiple priorities, working autonomously, and delivering outcomes in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Valid, unrestricted right to work.
